Batt Sports Award 2026: where sporting performance meets academic excellence

Batt was delighted to take part in the ceremony organised by the Académie de Stanislas for the presentation of the Batt Sports Award 2026.

This award was presented to Zoé Laurent, a top-level canoeist, for her particularly remarkable sporting and academic achievements. Due to her absence for health reasons, the award was presented by our partner Maxime Bédard to her mother and her coach.

A high-level sporting career

At only 21 years of age, Zoé is competing at the highest level in canoeing. A member of the Ancerville–Bar-le-Duc Canoë Kayak club, she actively contributes to the reputation of one of the most successful clubs in the discipline in France.

A top-level athlete since 2019 and a member of the French team since 2022, she has achieved a string of national and international successes:

  • Several French junior championship titles,
  • podium places and finals in world and European team competitions,
  • and, in 2025, a season marked by victory in the overall French Cup standings and the French elite canoeing championship title, won in Épinal.

Academic success and personal commitment

Alongside intensive training of 20 to 25 hours per week, Zoé pursues her studies with rigour: a scientific baccalaureate with honours, a bachelor’s degree in sports science in 2025, and currently a master’s degree in MEEF to become a PE teacher.

Through the Batt Sports Award, we celebrate journeys that embody the values we hold dear: commitment, perseverance, balance and pushing oneself beyond one’s limits.

Congratulations to Zoé Laurent for her exemplary journey, and we wish her all the best for her future sporting and professional endeavours.
