Meeting with Violette Dorange on commitment and solidarity
On Wednesday, December 17, we had the pleasure of organizing a meeting at the National Maritime Museum in Paris, alongside NOVAE and the National Maritime Museum, with the participation of Team DeVenir and Apprentis d’Auteuil.
It was a memorable evening dedicated to collective commitment and the meaning behind taking action.
The inspiring testimony of Violette Dorange
Through the screening of a film retracing her journey, followed by a discussion, Violette Dorange looked back on her beginnings, her choices, her doubts, and the determination that led her to major offshore races.
She notably shared her experience of the Vendée Globe and her recent crossing alongside Samantha Davies—an intense adventure driven by a strong solidarity-based objective: supporting, with Initiatives-Cœur and Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, surgical operations for children suffering from heart defects.
Sport, commitment, and transmission
The evening was also marked by the contribution of Jean-Baptiste de Chatillon, CEO of Apprentis d’Auteuil, who emphasized how valuable the presence of committed athletes is for the association. Through her journey and the values she embodies, Violette Dorange conveys a message of hope and confidence to the young people supported by the organization.
A partnership built over time
This event was also an opportunity for Olivier Lefebvre, partner at Batt, to reflect on the partnership built over the years with Violette Dorange: solidarity challenges, team mobilization, and collective initiatives, all guided by a shared commitment.
This highlight underscored the common values that unite all partners involved: commitment, perseverance, team spirit, and purpose-driven action.
